Our global Cloud Services team is at the forefront of this transformation, establishing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud platforms that power our innovative solutions worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer (FinOps) to develop, implement, and maintain our central financial operations solutions across our AWS and Azure landing zones.

This is your opportunity to optimize cloud costs, create financial transparency, and build the governance foundation that empowers our application teams to make informed financial decisions about cloud resources.

Join us to shape Continental's cloud financial strategy in an exciting, collaborative global environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Developing and implementing FinOps practices and tooling across AWS and Azure landing zones to optimize cloud spending

Creating comprehensive cost visibility dashboards and reports using for stakeholder transparency

Automating financial operations processes including budget alerts, anomaly detection, and chargeback mechanisms

Analyzing cloud consumption patterns and recommending cost optimization strategies

Implementing strategies and financial controls to ensure proper cost allocation

Troubleshooting and resolving customer-reported platform issues, service requests, and work orders

Creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational runbooks

Academic degree in computer science, another technical field or an equivalent qualification;

Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud platform engineering with focus on financial operations and cost optimization

Strong understanding of FinOps principles, cloud cost management strategies, and billing processes for AWS and Azure;

Experience with Databricks, ETL processes, Power BI, and financial data analysis in cloud environments;

Proficiency in process automation and scripting languages (e.g. Python) for financial reporting workflows;

Basic knowledge of financial controlling principles and budgeting processes in technology environments;

Excellent analytical skills with ability to design workflows with complex financial data;

Professional working proficiency in English.
