Our B2B betting company is seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQLDatabase Engineer\DBA to join our team. The position implies working hand-by-hand with the various technical teams to build and support reliable and scalable solutions at Altenar .

The responsibility area requires a deep understanding of data structuring and experience in developing and administering PostgreSQL and some experience with MS SQL databases or Mysql. If that’s what you’re looking for we’ll be glad to work with you! Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases

Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and tuning

Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues and provide solutions (Prometheus, Zabbix)

Work with developers to ensure database design meets application requirements

Manage database security, backup, and recovery procedures

Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement database solutions

Support highly-available systems in constantly growing workload environments

Continuously updating core knowledge and skills in the RDBMS area

Contributing and maintaining documentation for the solutions provided

Requirements

From one year of experience in RDBMS administration

Hands-on experience with Ansible/terraform for cluster deployment and management

Expertise in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring

Experience in supporting high-loaded systems

Experience in configuring PostgreSQL for the performance patterns

Experience in building CI\CD

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members

B2+ English

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
