About the role

We are building a modern, AI-ready data ecosystem from the ground up with no legacy constraints . As our first Senior Data Architect in the central data function, you will shape the foundational architecture and best practices that will support core insurance operations (agency, homeowners policy systems, fronting carrier ecosystem), enterprise analytics, data products, machine learning platforms, agentic systems, and conversational BI .

This is a high-impact, hands-on technical leadership role. You will prototype solutions , make pragmatic architectural decisions quickly, and guide a team of senior engineers who will challenge your thinking . Expect real ownership and direct influence on platform direction.

What will you do?

Shape high-level data architecture and platform strategy for analytics, ML, and agentic systems.

Design and prototype scalable lakehouse environments with medallion architecture in real cloud and cluster setups.

Establish practical governance, observability, and cataloging with a data mesh approach.

Prototype complex solutions and drive technical decisions.

We might be a match if you…

8+ years hands-on experience building large-scale data platforms.

Deep expertise with BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, and Fivetran or similar tech stack - don't worry/hesitate if you are expert in Dagster, SqlMesh or Snowflake

Ability to prototype fast in cloud environments and defend architectural choices with senior engineers.

Have a strong ownership mindset.

Have a great command of English and Polish (both written & spoken).

Are flexible around the afternoons – we prioritize everyone’s personal time and work-life fit, but since we work in PL-US teams, occasional evening meetings may be necessary to ensure smooth communication across time zones.

(Nice to have) Bring experience from organizations with mature architecture teams or from insurance/regulated industries.

(Nice to have) Have background with ML or agentic/AI platforms.

This role offers genuine greenfield impact : building a serious platform for data mesh , machine learning, and advanced AI use cases (including agentic systems and conversational BI ).
