Join us in making a difference
Join the Analytics Foundations team within Hotel Search Intelligence, where we build the data infrastructure, observability frameworks, and intelligent systems that every analytics team at trivago depends on. As a Data Analyst, you'll sit at the heart of data quality and reliability — owning core data tables, shaping trust frameworks, and enabling AI-ready workflows that make faster, better decisions possible across the organisation.
At trivago, data isn't a support function — it's the engine. You'll work with petabytes of live travel data, collaborate closely with Intelligence Product Management and Data Platform Engineering, and build the analytical foundation that product and business teams rely on every day. trivago is a place where ambition and genuine support go hand in hand — we hold high standards and invest in each person's growth. Ready to turn data into trust and insights into action? Apply now.
How you’ll make an impact
Establish and maintain analytics observability by developing metrics, quality indicators, and trust frameworks that ensure data reliability across the organisation.
Own and optimise core data tables — including event and impression logging, price, member, and booking tables — ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Manage test metadata and technical infrastructure changes to support seamless analytics workflows.
Build and maintain the Hotel Search analytics SKILL repository, serving as the central knowledge base for the team.
Create and automate ETL processes to collect, clean, and transform data, solving moderately complex analytical needs independently.
Collaborate with platform-oriented data analysts, Intelligence PM, and Data Platform Engineering to drive AI-enablement and intelligent systems.
What you'll need to thrive
Proven experience in data analysis, with strong SQL or Python skills — able to design and implement ETL processes and work confidently with large-scale data infrastructure.
Solid understanding of data quality frameworks and observability practices, with experience building trust indicators and reliability metrics for data systems.
Strong problem-solving ability — you move beyond analysis to diagnosis, challenge assumptions, and independently resolve moderately complex analytical challenges.
A genuine learning mindset — you approach challenges with curiosity, seek feedback proactively, and continuously develop your skills.
A performance mindset — you set ambitious goals, take end-to-end ownership of your work, and follow through with determination and resilience.
You see AI as a force multiplier for how data and analytics can operate at scale — you engage with it thoughtfully, actively exploring how AI tools can enhance your workflows and your team's output.
Not ticking every box? We still want to hear from you. Apply, tell us what motivates you, and you could be a great match—now or in the future. Your application does not need to include a photo. This is the recruitment process that you can expect for this role (subject to modifications):
