Data Analyst

The Office of Fleet Management manages vehicle acquisition, utilization, and tracking to optimize performance, reduce costs, and ensure safety and compliance across the federal fleet. This work keeps people and goods moving efficiently, safely, and sustainably, enabling agencies to deliver on their missions without transportation delays.

As a Data Analyst in the Office of Fleet Management, you will be responsible for the following duties: Performs broad technical data analysis functions and supports the program objectives in the formulation and implementation of data that streamlines operations, improves efficiency, enhances customer service, and supports mission outcomes.

Provides advanced data analysis using a solid knowledge base of various computer program languages and understanding of processing information. Designs and conducts complex data efforts, comprehensive data studies, and analytical projects supporting organizational priorities, business transformation initiatives, and operational improvements.

Plans, develops, and executes recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics for leadership. Develops narrative reports, briefing materials, fact sheets, and analytical summaries on operational, policy, organizational, financial, and performance-related issues.

Manipulates and interprets data using tools such as Microsoft Excel, GoogleSheets, Microstrategy, and/or Tableau, and other analytical and business intelligence platforms to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.

Develops dashboards and executive-level reporting tools that enable management to monitor organizational performance and progress toward strategic goals. Represents the organization on national projects, working groups, and teams addressing data management, analytics, reporting, and business intelligence issues.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is Applying quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, statistical tools, data visualization, and/or prediction modeling techniques to evaluate program performance, business process effectiveness, and support management decisions.

Extracting, validating, interpreting, and analyzing data from various sources to identify patterns and trends for program improvements. Maintaining and/or enhancing performance dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to track agency program activities and initiatives.

Translating information from various sources into analytical requirements and producing reports, dashboards, briefings, or visualizations for leadership and stakeholders.
