You will serve as a Training Specialist responsible for planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving technical and occupational training programs supporting Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

You will apply instructional systems design principles to develop standardized curricula, qualification products, testing instruments, instructional materials, and training processes.

You will develop recommendations for process improvements that enhance training effectiveness, standardization, and efficiency.

You will provide guidance on test development, lesson preparation, instructional technologies, and adult learning techniques.

You will conduct course evaluations, validity and reliability studies, analyzes student performance data, and recommends corrective actions.

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing, revising, and adapting assigned courses.

Experience preparing lessons plans and training materials, based on course objectives. Experience determining instructional methods and approaches, obtaining and/or developing necessary training aids, and determining time schedules and sequence of instruction.

Experience evaluating courses and training programs to determine effectiveness, efficiency, technical accuracy, and compliance. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience revising and adapting assigned courses. Experience preparing lessons plans and training materials, based on course objectives. Experience assisting with training research for quality assurance. Experience evaluating instructional approaches and performances.
