Cook NA-04

Prepares and cooks a variety of food items that require simple processing, such as breakfast items, hamburgers, vegetables, soups, and sauces.

Performs various food preparation tasks including peeling, chopping, grinding, slicing, and dicing, and accurately weighs and measures ingredients according to standardized recipes.

Operates a range of kitchen equipment powered by gas, electricity, steam, or microwave heat sources, and is responsible for its cleaning and basic maintenance.

Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and work areas, including worktables, floors, and refrigerators, adhering to established schedules and procedures.

Ensures food is handled and stored at correct temperatures to prevent bacterial growth and follows all established sanitation protocols.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: experience preparing basic food dishes, storing foods to prevent spoiling, etc., AND ability to follow written and verbal instructions, particularly standard recipes, and detailed cooking instructions, AND ability to operate, disassemble and clean basic food service equipment such as griddles, broilers, and food grinders, AND ability to perform basic arithmetic (e.g., add, subtract, multiply etc...) to measure ingredients in a recipe.
