Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Millwork Estimator to support accurate pricing and evaluation of cabinetry, furniture, and architectural millwork projects.

This role is responsible for reviewing architectural drawings and specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractor services, and coordinating with external suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.

The Millwork Estimator will maintain current knowledge of industry standards, material costs, and labor rates, while identifying assumptions, exclusions, and potential risks within estimates.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in millwork estimating, proficiency with CAD and estimating software, excellent communication and analytical skills, and a clear focus on estimating responsibilities without project management involvement. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for millwork projects, including materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses.

Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to define project scope and requirements.

Coordinate with external suppliers for materials such as upholstery, metal, and glass.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material pricing, labor rates, and relevant industry standards.

Deliver clear, accurate, and professional estimates to internal teams and clients.

Identify assumptions, exclusions, and potential risks within estimates to support accurate pricing.

Update and maintain estimating databases, templates, and cost libraries for future projects.

Support additional administrative related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).

Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Proficiency with CAD software and estimating tools.

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications accurately.

Proven experience as a millwork estimator (cabinetry, furniture, architectural millwork), specifically experience in Wood, Metal and Glass.

Strong knowledge of millwork materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier pricing.

Experience coordinating with suppliers for materials such as upholstery, metal, and glass.

Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

This role is focused exclusively on estimating responsibilities; no project management duties are included.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), preferred.

Sound judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
