Chemist Organic Synthesis

For our Client based in Stein AG we are looking for a research chemist in Organic synthesis

Key Responsibilities

* Independently execute safe, sustainable and effective synthetic routes, working closely with analytical, purification and automation platforms to maximize efficiency.

* Independently and collaboratively design efficient synthetic routes to target molecules and compound sets using scientific knowledge, experience and available digital tools.

* Carry out detailed risk assessments of experimental procedures and raw materials in line with HSE standards.

* Document and communicate experimental procedures and data with the highest scientific accuracy and sufficient detail to ensure reproducibility, data integrity and IP protection.

* Independently troubleshoot and solve synthetic chemistry challenges within project teams.

* Maintain excellence in modern synthetic methods and technologies through continuous learning and development.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory, helping to improve safety, productivity and ways of working.

Ideal Profile

* Master's Degree in Organic Chemistry.

* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Research Scientist in synthetic chemistry (full professional experience, internships and apprenticeships not considered).

* Fluent English.

Minimum Requirements

* Master's Degree in Chemistry with no professional experience, or

* Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years of laboratory experience.

* Synthetic chemistry background.

Required Skills \& Experience

* Proficient in all aspects of synthetic organic chemistry, including:

* Reaction design

* Retrosynthesis

* Troubleshooting

* Purification

* Structural elucidation

* Strong commitment to laboratory safety and HSE standards.

* Collaborative and self\-motivated, with the ability to work effectively in teams while delivering results autonomously.

* Comfortable using software tools for synthesis design and analysis of synthesis data.

* Strong documentation and communication skills.

* English proficiency is required, Additional languages are considered an advantage.
