Mgmt Program Analyst (Financial)

You will serve as a Mgmt Program Analyst (Financial) and be responsible for managing all the major acquisitions for the Coast Guard. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.

Typical work assignments include: Developing plans and policies for the resource and program management offices in the formulation and development business, cost estimating and financial management processes. Serving as the Air, Surface, or C4ISR program lead on budgeting and other financial management activities.

Providing interpretations of financial reports, statements, and data that point out trends, identity deviations from standards and/or plans. Performing budget execution phase functions limited to funds control activities, complying and adapting budgetary guidelines.

Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. DAU or Coast Guard Business, Cost Estimating and Financial Management (BCEFM) Level Certified is preferred but not required.

Applicant will be required to take appropriate level DAU BCEFM training to attain certification or to maintain current skills/certification.

To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal or private sector.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

Specialized experience may include the following: Exercise overall responsibility for management processes; assessments; concepts, principles, practices, laws and regulations of budgeting and financing. Provides analysis in development and interpretation of guidance for business management, budgetary, and financial analyses.

Planning and analysis of interrelated issues of the impact of changes in legislative and regulatory requirements and long-range program goals. NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
