Accounting Assistant

We're seeking an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day accounting operations across AP, AR, and general ledger. You'll handle transaction entry, reconciliations, and recordkeeping, and provide dependable support through each monthly close.

Responsibilities Enter and code invoices, expense reports, and journal entries accurately Process accounts payable, including vendor setup, approvals, and payment runs Assist with AR invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up as needed Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts monthly Support month-end and year-end close with schedules, accruals, and supporting documentation Maintain organized digital records and audit-ready documentation Respond to vendor and internal inquiries about invoices and payment status Build and update recurring reports and spreadsheets for the finance team Qualifications 2–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience Hands-on experience with Sage 100, QuickBooks, or a comparable accounting system Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data cleanup Proficient in Microsoft 365 — Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint Understanding of double-entry accounting, AP/AR workflows, and reconciliations Exceptional attention to detail and comfort managing recurring deadlines Clear written communication and the discipline to work well remotely Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred Requirements This is a full time role Up to $8/hr 100% Remote Originally posted on Himalayas
