Position Overview
As a Collections Specialist , you will play a vital role in ensuring the company receives timely payments from clients. This role requires strong financial analysis skills, customer service excellence, and problem-solving abilities to maintain Telaid’s financial health. Key Responsibilities
Use accounting software to generate reports and review open accounts for past-due balances.
Track invoices nearing due dates and send reminders to customers proactively.
Identify overdue amounts based on customer payment terms.
Contact customers via phone or email in a professional manner to resolve outstanding payments while maintaining positive client relationships.
Collaborate with Project Accountants and Project Managers to address billing issues and delinquent accounts.
Reconcile discrepancies between customer records and company accounts.
Escalate unresolved past-due accounts to the Credit & Collections Manager as needed.
Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements.
Assist with generating and submitting invoices across various software platforms.
Apply payments to customer accounts and review credit reports to establish credit limits for new customers.
Identify trends in account delinquency and propose solutions to management.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
At least 2 years of experience in billing and collections.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and excel in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with ERP systems and project accounting environments is a plus.
Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Power BI, and SQL is desirable.
