ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

You will inspect, clean, operate, and perform basic tests on electronic measuring equipment to identify damage, defects, or performance problems.

You will troubleshoot equipment problems using drawings, manuals, and test results to identify the cause of failures.

You will repair, replace, adjust, or modify defective parts, wiring, and components in accordance with approved technical instructions.

You will set up and operate measurement equipment and standards to test, adjust, and calibrate electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pressure-related instruments.

You will record test results, prepare calibration documents, update equipment labels, and verify that instruments meet required accuracy limits.

You will develop or improve test setups and methods when existing instructions are incomplete, and coordinate with engineers to resolve complex equipment issues.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
