As an ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC, you will: Repair, perform trouble analysis, modify, calibrate, align, program and install new and existing complex systems, i.e. coin presses, burnishers, ultrasonic cleaners and other related equipment, security, fires systems, programmable computers and solid state controls.
Trouble analyze electronically controlled circuits using oscilloscopes, multimeters, machine logic programs, computers and specialized test instruments. Rebuild, overhaul, modify, install, maintain and test new and existing complex production and electronic equipment/systems.
These systems include but are not limited to: multiple axis numerically controlled machine tools (machining shop), computer/programmable controlled coin presses, internal and external security systems, electronic weighing systems, automated packaging systems, and electronic communication systems.
Evaluate circuitry interrelationships, interactions and interconnections of assemblies and systems. Trouble analyzes, rebuilds and overhauls systems, modifying techniques and procedures to specified parameters.
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
You must meet the screen-out element Ability to do the Work of the Position Without More than Normal Supervision, normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: The ability to independently troubleshoot standard issues and perform routine repairs on moderately complex systems.
In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified.
