You will be serving as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR and will have direct wage grade supervisory responsibility for a wage grade team of 27 personnel including five Marines ranging in rank from Private to Sergeant.
You will be establishing deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Ordnance Officer.
You will be working under the direction of the Ordnance Officer in charge, who provides general instructions, standard operating procedures, and overall priorities and policies.
You will be coordinating with item managers for equipment/ supply problems, schedules schools for the various new equipment and modification upgrades.
You will be utilizing state of the art software programming used to order parts, manage employee payroll data, schedule work, training requirements and to identify problems.
You will be analyzing costs, impact and requirements when fabrication, rebuild, maintenance or testing procedures may need to be changed to streamline repairs and ensure compliance with documented standards.
You will be initiating or participating in review and improvement of work methods, organizational features, and the tructuring of positions to eliminate unnecessary positions and achieve optimum content in those remaining.
You will be responsible for enforcing employee compliance with environmental/ safety regulations, personal protective equipment requirements, rules, and good safety practices.
You will be responsible for subordinates in the area of design, fabrication of special tools, fixtures, equipment, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and modifying of Weapons, Artillery, and Communications equipment.
You will have supervisory responsibility for Welders, Machinists, Artillery Leader, Artillery Repairers, Electrical Equipment Worker, Repair Leader, Repair Inspectors, Electronics Mechanic, Electronics Mechanics and Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanics.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
