Essential Key Responsibilities

Provide architectural leadership for the Core platforms, defining scalable, resilient, secure and cost-effective designs for high-volume identity resolution, data processing, publishing and integration workloads.

Write and review production-quality code, create reference implementations and proof-of-concepts, unblock complex engineering problems, and help teams turn architecture into working software.

Define and communicate technical strategy and roadmaps for platform modernization, partner with product, data, SRE and engineering stakeholders, and align architectural direction with measurable business and customer outcomes.

Identify architectural, operational and data-quality risks early; evaluate trade-offs across reliability, scalability, latency, consistency, delivery timelines and cost; and drive standards, tooling and engineering practices that improve long-term maintainability.

Mentor senior engineers and technical leads, foster strong design thinking and shared ownership, and help build a culture that balances customer focus, engineering excellence and pragmatic delivery.

Essential Skills and / or Certifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant ownership of complex, distributed, data-intensive systems.

Proven hands-on programming depth in one or more enterprise languages such as Java, Python or Scala, with the ability to contribute directly to production code, design reviews, code reviews, testing and delivery pipelines.

Strong architecture and design experience across cloud-native services, distributed systems, event-driven and batch processing, data quality, data consistency, latency, observability, resiliency and cost optimization.

Experience delivering high-volume transactional APIs and large-scale batch or data processing platforms. Experience with identity resolution, matching, entity resolution, data mastering or reference-data platforms is highly desirable.

In-depth working knowledge of cloud computing and cloud operations in multi-region environments. Google Cloud experience is strongly preferred.

Hands-on experience with relevant platform technologies such as Spark, Hadoop/YARN, Airflow, Bigtable, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Redis, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka/Pulsar or equivalent data and messaging technologies.

Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices including CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, secure coding, observability, incident learning and operational readiness.

Ability to evaluate legacy and modern technology trade-offs, simplify complex architectures, and guide migrations or consolidations while maintaining customer continuity and operational stability.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across engineering, SRE, product, data, architecture and senior leadership groups.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to multitask, respond quickly to changing customer demands and market conditions, and balance strategic direction with pragmatic delivery.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills
