Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ericsson Core Network Architect to design, implement, and optimize next-generation 4G/5G Core Network solutions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performing packet core and IMS solutions while driving cloud-native deployments, network integration, and lifecycle management.
This role requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, and customer teams to deliver reliable telecom solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for Ericsson 4G/5G Core Network solutions, including Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) architectures
Lead the deployment, integration, and configuration of Core Network Functions (CNFs) and Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) in cloud-native environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable network solutions
Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of core network platforms
Plan and execute software upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements with minimal service impact
Troubleshoot complex network issues related to signaling and user-plane traffic, ensuring timely resolution
Support network integration, interoperability, and end-to-end validation activities
Ensure solution designs comply with industry standards, security requirements, and Ericsson best practices
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guides
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams while supporting customer engagements and solution reviews
Person Specifications
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 8+ years of experience in telecom core network architecture, solution design, or deployment
Strong expertise in Ericsson 4G/5G Core Network technologies and 3GPP standards
In-depth knowledge of core network functions including AMF, SMF, UPF, MME, SGW, PGW, NRF, DNS, and IMS
Strong understanding of 4G/5G mobile network architecture, end-to-end call flows, and telecom protocols (TCP/IP, QUIC, SS7)
Experience with NFV/SDN, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud-native platforms
Proficiency in network analysis and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark
Knowledge of scripting or data analytics tools such as Python, SQL, or Tableau is an advantage
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Good understanding of Agile methodologies and telecom delivery best practices
