Job description

* Design and develop **AI\-driven applications and software architectures** using Python

* Build and deploy **Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications**

* Develop testing and evaluation methodologies for LLM\-based solutions

* Work with **Azure OpenAI APIs** and related AI services

* Develop **RAG and agent\-based AI solutions** for different business use cases

* Explore, preprocess and integrate large structured and unstructured datasets

* Build APIs and interfaces to integrate AI solutions into existing platforms

* Ensure applications are production\-ready through **testing, CI/CD, monitoring and observability**

* Monitor, maintain and continuously improve deployed AI applications

* Collaborate closely with technical teams and business stakeholders

About the customer

You will work alongside AI Engineers, Data Engineers and Quantitative Developers to design and build **production\-ready AI and Generative AI applications**. The role combines strong Python software engineering with hands\-on experience in LLMs, RAG, AI agents and modern cloud technologies.

* **Homeoffice**: 50% within Switzerland

Requirements

* Around **5\+ years of professional Software Engineering experience**, with recent hands\-on experience as an **AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or similar**

* Strong **Python development** skills and experience building production\-grade applications

* Proven experience developing and deploying **Generative AI / LLM solutions**

* Hands\-on experience with **LangChain, LlamaIndex or comparable frameworks**

* Experience with **prompt engineering and LLM evaluation**

* Practical experience with **AI agents / agentic AI frameworks**

* Familiarity with **RAG architectures and vector databases** such as ChromaDB or Weaviate

* Experience with cloud environments, ideally **Microsoft Azure / Azure OpenAI**

* Good understanding of CI/CD, monitoring, performance analysis and application support

* Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

* Strong English communication skill

**Nice to have:**

* Experience with **FastAPI, Flask or Django**

* Docker or other containerisation technologies

* Streamlit or Plotly Dash

* SQL and NoSQL databases

* Graph databases and graph\-based data representations

* Front\-end technologies such as React, Angular, JavaScript, HTML and CSS

* Previous experience within **banking or financial services**

* Contributions to AI/ML open\-source projects or relevant AI certifications

* Master's or PhD in a relevant technical field
