SUPERVISORY AEROSPACE ENGINEER

You will serve as a supervisor, technical advisor, and spokesperson within their program area. You will negotiate, advise, and collaborate with all levels of officials in industry.

You will assist in the development and execution of the planning, directing, and prioritizing of activities concerning the area under supervision and, therefore, must routinely adapt to frequent and unpredictable changes in programs and funds.

You will provide resources and processes to support and maintain the intended mission capability; to maintain inherent design capabilities of the systems at the minimum expenditure of resources; and to achieve readiness goals.

You will ensure that the team's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals objectives, work plan and work products and services.

You will lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing the workload and tasks among employees in accordance with establish workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.

You will plan and/or conduct extensive technical aerospace engineering investigations individually, as a member of a team, or as team leader, depending on the complexity of the project and assigned duties.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing senior-level expertise of acquisition and sustainment, in-service engineering, design and development, and life-cycle support for complex Air Vehicle systems and subsystems; 2) Overseeing multi-disciplinary teams while developing and managing budgets, forecasting resource requirements, and executing complex engineering projects to meet critical goals and major acquisition milestones; and 3) Providing authoritative engineering guidance by effectively communicating complex engineering and programmatic information to diverse audiences at all levels, mentoring and guiding engineers, presenting decisive briefings and collaborating on solutions with senior executive leadership and industry partners.
