About the Role

We’re hiring an Accounting Manager to own financial accuracy, reporting, and month-end close across multiple entities .

This is a hands-on, execution-driven role — not a supervisory-only position.

You will

Run clean, accurate month-end closes

Manage payroll and compliance

Maintain structured, audit-ready financials

What You’ll Own

1. Month-End Close & Financial Reporting (Core Focus)

Execute month-end close with accuracy and timeliness

GAAP

Maintain clean, structured workpapers

2. Payroll & Employee Setup

Process payroll using

Gusto or similar

Manage employee onboarding in payroll systems

Ensure payroll compliance and documentation

3. Core Accounting Operations

Oversee

Accounts Payable (AP)

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Maintain accurate general ledger across entities

Manage day-to-day accounting with precision

4. Sales Tax & Compliance

Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax

Maintain documentation for all filings

Ensure compliance across jurisdictions

5. Reporting, Analysis & Forecasting

Build custom financial reports

Support

Budgeting

Forecasting

Provide insights for decision-making

6. Process Improvement & Systems

Review and document accounting processes

Identify inefficiencies and improve workflows

Standardize systems across multiple clients/entities

7. Client & Internal Coordination

Communicate with leadership on

Priorities

Deadlines

Support client-facing communication when needed

5+ years in accounting or finance

Strong experience with

Accrual accounting

GAAP financials

Experience managing

Multi-entity

Multi-location businesses
