The posting

You will plan work to be accomplished, set short term priorities, and prepare work completion schedules.

You will document processes and validate account balances in order to full reconcile the account balances in the General Ledger.

You will reconcile accounts and identify the cause of complex accounting irregularities that exist between accounting records and general ledgers.

You will identify material discrepancies and will recommend corrective actions through intensive coordination efforts and follow-up.

You will provide guidance as it relates to Military Sealift Command's Financial Statements and Reports to keep the Supervisor of the Accounting Division advised on financial matters to maintain fiscal integrity and accountability.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience accurately documenting expenses, revenue generation, billing, Net Operation Results (NOR), Accumulated Operating Results (AOR), facilitating the three-way match required for payments, and financial reporting.

Experience analyzing budgetary and propriety account balances through a thorough understanding of complex financial systems, such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Working Capital Funds (WCF) accounting.

Experience reconciling the General Ledger (GL) to the Subsidiary Ledgers (modules) at the lowest account segment level within Navy ERP.

Experience documenting processes and validating account balances to fully reconcile the account balances in the General Ledger to the supporting transactions in the Subsidiary Ledgers as well as document and validate the interactions between the modules.
