The posting
One million proposals and counting! We are proud to help leading hospitality teams bring that many events and ideas to life. Curate is building strong sales momentum and our product continues to stand out as a leading solution for event professionals.
Curate connects sales, contracts, staffing, production, payments, and reporting in one operating system, with AI and automation taking on the time-consuming administrative work. Every proposal represents a team serving people, building a stronger business, and creating an experience that matters.
We are excited to keep reimagining how that work gets done so our customers can spend more time doing what they do best.
As Sales Manager, you will build on that momentum by leading and developing our sales team while actively participating in the sales process. You will work closely with the SDR and Account Executive to manage the pipeline, improve conversion, and provide every prospect with a consistent buying experience.
You will take over the day-to-day sales mentorship and leadership currently provided by our CEO, who has also been actively selling the product. Your primary responsibility will be to build a strong, repeatable sales process and give each team member the coaching, tools, and accountability needed to achieve their goals.
You will also manage your own sales opportunities, conduct product demos, and close new business.
This is a remote position.
OTE is $148,800/year
What You’ll Do
Lead the sales team’s daily activities, performance, and accountability while creating a supportive, results-focused environment.
Coach and develop the SDR and Account Executive through regular feedback, training, motivation, and recognition.
Build and improve a repeatable sales process that increases deal-to-paid conversion while maintaining strong starting MRR.
Manage your own sales opportunities and execute the full sales cycle, from initial consultation and product demo through negotiation and close.
Respond to inbound interest, identify each prospect’s business needs, and provide a focused, efficient buying experience.
Meet or exceed individual revenue goals while helping each sales team member achieve their assigned quota.
Maintain accurate, organized pipelines in HubSpot and ensure consistent follow-up, accurate customer records, and regular pipeline cleanup across the team.
Track sales performance, prepare weekly and monthly leadership reports, calculate commissions, and manage other sales administration.
Partner with Marketing to increase qualified leads, improve the use of AI and automation throughout the sales funnel, and share insights from prospective customers.
Develop deep knowledge of Curate , our ideal customers, and the event industry while providing the Product team with clear, data-based customer feedback.
What You’ll Bring
At least five years of relevant, client-facing sales or consulting experience, including one to three years of sales management experience.
A proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a sales team that consistently performs against defined goals and metrics.
Experience selling SaaS solutions to small and midsized businesses through an inbound sales process.
Proficiency with HubSpot, sales enablement tools, workflow automation, and AI-supported sales funnels.
Strong customer relationship skills and the ability to understand and address each prospect’s business needs.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills across phone, email, Zoom, and in-person presentations.
The ability to use sales data to evaluate performance, make decisions, and recommend improvements.
A results-focused approach and a strong understanding of effective business development strategies.
Excellent organization and time management skills, with the initiative and adaptability needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, along with a commitment to collaboration and continuous product learning.
