Overview

We are seeking dynamic and goal-oriented Account Managers to join our Account Development Team. In this role, you will be responsible for retaining, growing, and expanding existing client relationships while actively onboarding and cultivating new business opportunities. You will serve as a strategic partner to our clients, ensuring satisfaction, driving adoption of our products and services, and identifying opportunities for deeper engagement.

This role is focused exclusively on daily client engagement and inside sales —not on operational or delivery execution. As a key contributor to the company’s growth, your compensation will include a backloaded, performance-based incentive plan directly tied to your success in achieving KPIs such as retention, revenue growth, upsell performance, and client satisfaction.

Client Retention & Growth

Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients

Maintain and grow client relationships through strategic engagement and value-added interactions

Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBRs/QBRs) using a structured, agenda-driven format

Ensure client’s short and long term initiatives are addressed

Solicit accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts

Document meetings and action plans in communications with the client and in the CRM and manage appropriate take aways to completion

Drive product adoption and upselling initiatives based on client needs and opportunities

Serve as the first line of defense, report to internal stakeholders on status of client engagement and satisfaction

Collaborate with Sales Administration to ensure client needs are addressed (eg. integrations, system updates, RFP/RFI and due diligence requests)

New Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through call outreach (cold call prospect lists), referrals, dormant accounts, and underperforming accounts

Foster new client relationships and support their onboarding journey to ensure a smooth and valuable experience and then shift to an account retention/growth strategy as discussed above

Advocate for client needs internally and act as a trusted advisor externally

Sales & Communication

Execute inside sales strategies to support cross-selling and upselling to existing accounts

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strategic alignment and client success

Deliver presentations and proposals that reflect client goals and highlight growth opportunities

KPI-Driven Accountability

Meet and exceed KPIs related to client retention, account expansion, business development activity, and customer satisfaction

Participate in performance-based compensation programs structured to reward long-term success and partnership development

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in account management, client development, or inside sales

Proven success managing a large client base and driving revenue growth through cross-sell/upsell strategies

Experience in managing a pipeline and documenting pipeline activities

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Strong cold-calling and lead generation skills

Comfortable with daily call goals and weekly/monthly revenue targets

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of an organization

Deep understanding of client needs with the ability to advocate effectively on their behalf

High energy, positive attitude, and a growth mindset

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience conducting structured MBRs/QBRs

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven

Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth B2B environment

Familiarity with CRM systems and sales enablement tools

Total compensation for this role includes a base salary of $65,000, quarterly bonus, $10,000 in employer-sponsored life insurance, health insurance, a 401(k) employer match, and accrual of 100 hours of PTO per year, with increases based on length of service). Travel-related expenses will also be reimbursed.
