About the Role
This is the first commercial hire in the US for a Y Combinator-backed enterprise AI startup, reporting directly to the founding team. You'll open the American market for AI agents that automate enterprise system implementations — work that traditionally takes consulting teams months but now takes days. The role carries real founding-team weight: you'll both close deals and build the playbook the next sellers will run.
What You'll Do
Own the full US sales cycle end to end: self-sourced outbound, discovery, demo, technical evaluation, procurement, and close.
Sell two motions: annual platform contracts direct to enterprises and a partner channel of systems integrators, VARs, and consultancies.
Build US pipeline from near zero — define the target account list, test positioning, and identify which segments convert.
Run demos and technical evaluations independently, translating agentic workflows into the language of finance, IT, and operations buyers.
Navigate multi-stakeholder deals from hands-on champions (implementation leads, controllers, RevOps, data engineers) up to CFO or CIO signatories.
Recruit, enable, and co-sell with SI and VAR partners to compound the channel beyond the first deal.
Codify the sales motion: qualification criteria, discovery questions, pricing guardrails, objection handling, and deal stages for future hires.
Maintain a tight weekly feedback loop with the founding team and influence product direction based on field signals.
Grow into the US commercial lead, building the team around you as the market scales.
What We're Looking For
A proven track record closing complex B2B software deals end to end, including self-sourced pipeline.
Founding-hire temperament: comfortable operating without a playbook, SE support, or a mature marketing engine.
Technical credibility with data, systems, and integration buyers — able to run a demo and hold a real architecture conversation independently.
Experience selling ERP, iPaaS, data integration, or data infrastructure products is a strong plus.
Prior founding or first-AE experience at a seed or Series A AI or developer-tools company is a strong plus.
Experience building or running an SI, VAR, or consulting partner channel is a strong plus.
Track record closing $50k+ ACV deals into finance, IT, or operations buying committees is a strong plus.
Based in the US and willing to travel to customers and occasionally to Europe.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually (on-target earnings). Above-market compensation with competitive early-hire equity. Visa sponsorship is not available .
Location
Fully remote — open to candidates anywhere in the United States .
